About this opportunity
The Gail O'Riordan Memorial Graduate Award for Cello provides financial support to graduate students in the School of Music at the University of Victoria whose principal instrument is cello. Up to two awards will be given annually to eligible students. The award is designed to support graduate students pursuing their studies in cello performance or music studies with a cello focus. The award is renewable for a second year if funds permit and the student, in the opinion of the School of Music, is making good progress in their degree. Students with a GPA of 6.0 or higher will be considered. Awards are assigned based on nominations from eligible academic units, specifically the School of Music, with approval from the Faculty of Graduate Studies Graduate Award Committee. No application is required as nominations are made directly by the academic unit.
