About this opportunity
The Garrett Electronics Scholarship provides scholarships of up to $5,000 per year to past high school graduates, graduating high school seniors, and current college students who are employed by or dependents of Garrett Electronics, Inc. Applicants must intend to pursue a degree at any accredited 2-year or 4-year college or university, or graduate school in the United States or its possessions. The scholarship is administered by Communities Foundation of Texas and is available to employees of Garrett Electronics, Inc. in Garland, Texas or immediate family members (child, step-child, dependent, or grandchild) of employees. Preference is given to employees first, then children over grandchildren. Eligible employees must be in good standing and have been employed part-time or full-time for at least 12 consecutive months at the application deadline. Selection is based on academic achievement, two written letters of recommendation, aspirations and ideals expressed in an essay, school activities and extracurricular activities, and demonstrated leadership potential.
