About This Opportunity

The Gavin Teague Memorial Scholarship is a memorial scholarship established to assist students with artistic merit who wish to pursue the arts as a career path. It was created in memory of Gavin Teague, who graduated from Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) at RMIT in 2008 and sadly passed away at age 25 while travelling overseas. The scholarship provides financial support for students enrolled in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program who can demonstrate artistic merit and circumstances which impact their study. Art was a passion for Gavin Teague, who painted, drew, designed, made ambient music, and used symbolism and metaphor to speak of issues close to his heart. The scholarship celebrates his work and helps students facing personal, financial, or social challenges to continue their artistic education at RMIT University.
