GCSB Women in STEM Scholarship

The GCSB Women in STEM Scholarship provides a fee reduction of $10,000 for women studying a STEM-related degree at an approved NZQA accredited tertiary provider in New Zealand. The scholarship is specifically designed to support women pursuing degrees in computer science, cyber security, technology, mathematics, computer engineering, and data science. The value of this award can be spread over three years depending on study plans, with no more than $5,000 allocated in any one year. This scholarship aims to encourage and support women in their pursuit of STEM careers and recognizes the importance of STEM disciplines for New Zealand's future. Applications are assessed based on leadership qualities, voluntary work including coaching and mentoring, demonstrated commitment to pursuing a STEM career, clear understanding of the importance of STEM for New Zealand, and academic achievement and excellence.
