About this opportunity
The Gender Based Violence Bursary was established by donors to support students in need who have accessed the University of Regina Women's Centre and/or the Sexual Violence Prevention and Response Office. This bursary offers financial support to undergraduate and graduate students facing hardships as a result of experiencing gender violence that could affect their academic success. The bursary provides critical financial assistance to help students continue their education despite the challenges they face from gender-based violence. One bursary is awarded in the Spring semester and one in the Fall semester, with each award valued at $1,000. Recipients must be registered in at least 3 credit hours in the term the bursary is awarded and must demonstrate need for support services, including financial assistance, as a consequence of violence and/or gender violence.
