About this opportunity
The Genevieve Griffith Scholarship was established by Mildred Griffith in memory of her sister Genevieve Griffith, who served as the girls' principal at Central High School in Ohio for many years. This scholarship honors her legacy by supporting graduating high school seniors from the area historically served by Central High School when it closed in 1982. The scholarship is awarded to students from Briggs, East, and South high schools, with one scholarship available for each school. To be eligible, students must reside in the area served by Central High School when it closed in 1982, with Briggs, East, and South high schools each awarding one scholarship. Candidates must be graduating high school seniors who exhibit good character, scholastic endeavors, and participation in school activities. Recipients must attend or plan to attend an educational institution in the United States. Three scholarships of $1,200 each are awarded annually, one per named high school.
