Geographic Enhancement Opportunity (GEO) Award

The Geographic Enhancement Opportunity (GEO) Award is a special tuition rate program for eligible international students at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). This tuition discount recognizes outstanding academic achievement and is available to academically qualified international freshmen, transfer students, and graduate students for all terms (fall, spring, and summer). The undergraduate GEO award is valued at $10,676 per year for the 2024-2025 academic year based on 12 credit hours per semester, while the graduate GEO award is valued at $8,993 per year based on nine credit hours per semester. The award can result in substantial savings of more than $47,000 over a four-year undergraduate program or at least $13,000 for a two-year graduate program.
