About this opportunity
The Geographic Enhancement Opportunity Plus (GEO+) Award provides continuing international undergraduate students at SIUE with access to in-state tuition rates after successfully completing their first year. This award is designed to make education more affordable for international students by significantly reducing their tuition costs compared to the standard international student rate.
International students who complete 24 credit hours of coursework at SIUE with grades of 'C' or higher become eligible for the in-state tuition rate for the remainder of their undergraduate program. The award represents an average savings of over $14,000 per year compared to the published international student rate, based on 15 credit hours per semester enrollment.
Over the course of a four-year undergraduate program, the GEO+ award can result in total savings of more than $40,000 for eligible international students. The award is automatically applied to qualifying students and remains in effect for the duration of their undergraduate studies, provided they maintain good academic standing and comply with University academic policies.
