George E Poole Memorial Leadership Award in Construction Engineering

The George E Poole Memorial Leadership Award in Construction Engineering is awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing registered in the fourth year of the Civil Engineering degree program who are taking the Construction Engineering elective pattern (both CIV E 406 and CIV E 409). The award was established through endowed funds by PCL Construction Group Inc in memory of George Ernest Poole, a graduate in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1943 and the co-owner and operator of Poole Construction Ltd for 30 years. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership through involvement and participation in team sports and/or university and community organizations, as well as demonstrated communication skills. Students will be automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
