George E. Smith Memorial Scholarship

The George E. Smith Memorial Scholarship was established in 1939 by Hutch-Central Evening High School to support undergraduate students at the University at Buffalo. The scholarship gives first preference to students who graduated from Hutchinson Central Technical High School, with second preference given to students who graduated from a Buffalo public high school. This merit-based scholarship provides financial assistance to eligible undergraduate students to help cover educational expenses. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application in the University at Buffalo Scholarship Portal.
