George H. and Lillian Millman Scholarship in Science

The George H. and Lillian Millman Scholarship in Science is awarded to undergraduate students majoring in physics (first preference), or astronomy, biochemistry and molecular biology, biology, chemistry, geosciences, mathematics and statistics, or microbiology. The selection of scholarship award recipients will be based on financial need. George H. Millman '47, a World War II veteran who had a long career in the field of ionospheric radio physics, established the fund in 2011. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Massachusetts Amherst scholarship system.
