About this opportunity
The George Mason Sustainable Land Use Scholarship supports postgraduate research students at Massey University who are conducting research with a focus on sustainable land use relevant to the Taranaki region. This scholarship is funded by the George Mason Charitable Trust, established by Dr George Mason, a Taranaki philanthropist and retired scientist. The scholarship seeks candidates undertaking research in areas of durable resource management as affected by land use, with particular emphasis on agriculture, forestry, and conservation. Recipients must be full-time students enrolled in either a PhD or master's programme at Massey University. The scholarship provides financial support for one year to students whose research promotes sustainable land use practices in the Taranaki region, with preference given to those undertaking at least part of their studies in Taranaki.
