George Vanderkuur Scholarship for Excellence

The George Vanderkuur Scholarship for Excellence is awarded annually to outstanding undergraduate students enrolling in Year One of any degree-studies program at the University of Waterloo who are graduates of The Erindale Academy or Toronto Central Academy in Ontario. One scholarship valued at $5,000, or two scholarships valued at $2,500, will be awarded based on academic excellence. Preference is given to students enrolling in programs within the Faculty of Mathematics or Science and to international students. This scholarship was established to honour George Vanderkuur, Toronto Central Academy's current Director of Education, in recognition of his passion and commitment to education. No application is required as students are automatically considered based on their admission profile.
