George W. & Winston A. Van Horne Prize

The George W. & Winston A. Van Horne Prize is awarded to graduate students in the Department of African and African Diaspora Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This prize honors the late Winston Van Horne and is intended to recognize outstanding graduate students in this field of study. The award is contingent upon funding availability and supports graduate education in African and African Diaspora Studies. The prize is administered through the UWM Foundation Scholarships program and is housed within the College of Letters & Science.
