About this opportunity
The Georgia Duncan Scholarship for Future Teachers is a merit-based scholarship offered through the Tarrant County College Foundation. This scholarship supports students who are currently enrolled at or entering Tarrant County College with the intention to complete an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree. The scholarship is designed to encourage and support future educators pursuing their teaching credentials at TCC.
Applicants must maintain a minimum TCC GPA of 3.0, or have a high school equivalent if they are first-time TCC students. Recipients must enroll in a minimum of 9 credit hours during the period of the award. Preference is given to applicants attending TCC's Northeast Campus, though students from other campuses may also be considered.
The scholarship is renewable for the spring semester if the recipient achieves a minimum semester GPA of 3.0 and completes at least 9 credit hours in the fall. This provides an opportunity for continued support throughout the academic year. The award amount varies and is determined based on available funds. Students are automatically considered for this scholarship upon completing the General Application through the TCC Foundation scholarship portal.
