About this opportunity
The Max Weber Foundation awards Gerald D. Feldman Travel Grants annually to internationally oriented researchers in the humanities and social sciences who are in their qualification phase. The researchers conduct a self-selected research project in at least two and up to three host countries of the MWS institutes and branches or the Richard Koebner Minerva Center for German History (Israel). The stays (maximum of one month per host country, shorter stays are also possible) serve primarily for research in libraries or archives. Transnational or transregional studies are expected that provide new and original impulses to research. The travel grants cover documented travel costs for outbound and return journeys, daily allowances between €32 and €68 depending on the destination country, and depending on location and availability, inexpensive accommodation in an institute guest room may be possible. Applicants can be highly qualified researchers of any nationality with at least a Master's degree, and must demonstrate publications (except for doctoral candidates) and submit a research plan that aligns with the research profile of the MWS institutes.
