About this opportunity
The Gerald J. Maier/Dean Wirasinghe Entrance Award is offered annually to undergraduate students entering the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary. Established by Mr. Gerald J. Maier in recognition of Dean Chan Wirasinghe's contributions to the Schulich School of Engineering, this award supports students demonstrating academic merit and contributions to school and/or community life. The award is renewable in the second and third years, providing recipients maintain enrolment in the Schulich School of Engineering and achieve a minimum GPA of 3.00 on a minimum of 30 units in the previous fall and winter terms. Eligible applicants must be Canadian citizens or Permanent Residents from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, or British Columbia, showing both academic promise and community engagement.
