About this opportunity

The German Foundations Scholarship is offered by the Hertie School to stipend holders of the German 'Begabtenförderungswerke' (German talent support organizations) and members of the Hertie Foundation's fellows & friends programme. Recipients are guaranteed at least a 25% tuition scholarship upon admission to the Master of Public Policy (MPP), Master of International Affairs (MIA), or Master of Data Science for Public Policy (MDS) programmes. Eligible applicants include current stipend holders from 13 recognized German foundations including Avicenna, Cusanuswerk, Hanns-Seidel-Stiftung, Hans-Böckler-Stiftung, Evangelisches Studienwerk, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung, Stiftung der Deutschen Wirtschaft, Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung, Ernst Ludwig Ehrlich Studienwerk, and Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. Students who become stipend holders during their first year of studies can receive the 25% tuition reduction for their second year only. To apply, candidates must first submit a standard application to the MPP, MIA, or MDS programme before May 31. After receiving an admission offer, applicants will have two weeks to submit the funding application, including a copy of their stipend certificate or proof of fellows & friends membership.
