German Studies Research Grant

The German Studies Research Grant is a DAAD program aimed at funding and encouraging young academics from North America to study subjects relating to German affairs on a long-term basis. The programme is specifically designed for qualified students, graduates and doctoral candidates who are carrying out research projects on German cultural studies. The grant funds research visits to universities or non-university institutes, archives and research institutes in Germany for a duration of 1-2 months. Recipients receive a contribution towards travel and accommodation expenses ranging from 2,000 to 3,000 USD depending on the length of stay.
