Gert Fredrikssons stipendium

Gert Fredrikssons stipendium is an annual scholarship awarded to promising young canoe athletes in Nyköping, Sweden, and secondarily within Södermanland County. The scholarship can also be awarded to sports leaders, officials, sports journalists, voluntary associations, or similar entities that have promoted the canoe sport, its practice, or development. The awarded scholarship is intended to cover costs for training camps, competition materials, or similar expenses as justified in the jury's decision. Applications and nominations are submitted through an online service and are reviewed by the Culture and Recreation Committee's scholarship jury. The deadline for applications and nominations from individuals is October 1st each year, with one award distributed annually.
