About This Opportunity

The Gervin Métis Leadership Award in Law is awarded to a student who is a Métis person of Canada in accordance with the Constitution Act, 1982, Part 2, Section 35(2) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. The award is funded by annual contributions from Mark Gervin, LLB, with the goal of raising awareness for and supporting Métis students. Selection is based on academic standing and demonstrated involvement in the preservation and participation in Métis culture and leadership within the Indigenous community. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's application system.
