About this opportunity
One or more awards, valued at up to $5,000 each, are provided annually to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Year One of any program at the University of Waterloo who have a minimum admission average of 80%, demonstrated financial need, and are an Ontario resident. This entrance bursary is awarded based on financial need and academic merit. This fund is made possible by a donation from Mr. George Gibbons who believes that his investment in talented, Waterloo-educated students will have far-reaching benefits for Canada at home and abroad. Students must apply for the University of Waterloo Entrance Bursary to be considered for this award. The Entrance Bursary application is available through the Awards and financial aid tab in the Waterloo application portal and is open from February 1 to April 15.
