About this opportunity
The Gifted Study Award provides financial support for teachers and kaiako to study Massey University's Postgraduate Diploma in Specialist Teaching (Gifted). This annual study award is designed to help education professionals develop expertise in working with gifted and talented students.
The award covers the full domestic tuition fees paid directly to Massey University, as well as a contribution towards travel and accommodation costs for attending block courses. Additionally, recipients receive employer contribution funding to cover teacher release time for up to 50 study leave days per year, enabling them to complete their studies while employed.
Priority is given to applicants who are responsible for planning, teaching and learning in early learning, schools and kura, particularly those working with diverse student groups including students who are gifted or need additional support. Applications open on 1 August each year and close on 12 September, with notifications sent on 25 November.
