Giles Family Foundation Study Abroad Program 2025 (Travel in Semester 1, 2026)

The Giles Family Foundation Study Abroad Program has been established by Swinburne alum Michael H. Giles, who is passionate about supporting students eager to broaden their horizons through international study. As a former recipient of a study abroad scholarship during his time at Swinburne, Michael understands first-hand the transformational impact that studying overseas can have. His own experience inspired him to create this opportunity for others. The program offers five scholarships of $7,000 each to support students embarking on a life-changing semester of study overseas. The scholarship is designed for continuing second-year or above Swinburne students enrolled full-time in any undergraduate (including Honours) or postgraduate degree at Swinburne University of Technology. Recipients must be approved for an Overseas Semester Exchange in Semester 1, 2026 to any Swinburne partner university. The funds can be used in conjunction with the OS HELP Loan and will be released once proof of acceptance at the overseas host institution and confirmation from Swinburne Abroad is received.
