About this opportunity
Established in 2014, the Gill Family Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Scholarship is intended to assist students from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds who are experiencing financial hardship. This scholarship is open to current Australian Catholic University (ACU) students enrolled in any undergraduate degree at the Melbourne or Ballarat campus. Recipients must be in their second year or above at the time the scholarship is awarded. The scholarship provides approximately $4,000 in financial support for one year. Recipients are required to submit an impact statement to the donor by October 1 and are invited to attend a presentation event. The scholarship aims to support students' studies and career aspirations while recognizing their participation in community activities through the Jim-Baa-Yer Indigenous Higher Education Unit and their commitment to ACU's Mission and community.
