Gina Giffin Garcia Scholarship

The Gina Giffin Garcia Scholarship supports students at Eastern Illinois University who are pursuing education toward a career in medical or health-related fields including physical therapy, pre-medicine, pre-dental, medical technology, nursing, speech therapy, pharmacy, and occupational therapy. Recipients must have been accepted to Eastern Illinois University and maintain a minimum overall 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applicants are required to submit a one-page essay outlining why they want to pursue a career in their chosen health-related profession. Financial need may be a consideration in the selection process. The scholarship is renewable for recipients who continue to meet the stated criteria. The award is announced in the Spring Semester and paid the following Fall Semester.
