About this opportunity

GJENKLANG is a national development program for those who want to create cultural activities in existing buildings. This is an opportunity for those who want to create resonance in the local community by transforming empty buildings into vibrant cultural arenas. The program is a collaboration between Kulturrom, Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, and Samfunnsløftet – Sparebank 1 Nord-Norge. Applicants can be an organization or a municipality that wants to create cultural production and activities in an existing building. The program has a national reach and welcomes applications from a broad range of projects across the country. A prerequisite is that applicants have access to, or an intention agreement to use, a specific building. The funding can be used to bring in external advisors in an early phase to assess and map how an existing building can be transformed into a well-functioning, sustainable, and economically viable cultural arena.
