About This Opportunity

The Glen Kinross Rotary Scholarship was established to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Rotary Club of Aspley, honoring Glen Kinross's remarkable contribution to Rotary and youth development during his 60 years of service. The scholarship supports tertiary education for students who demonstrate academic potential but face financial and other barriers to completing an undergraduate degree. The scholarship aims to offset living and study-related costs, giving recipients the freedom to focus on their education without having to work excessive hours, removing barriers that may hinder academic achievement. It supports eligible students who graduated from high schools within the Australian Mainland catchment area of Rotary District 9620 to undertake study at the UniSC Moreton Bay campus. One new scholarship is awarded every second year, commencing in Semester 1. The scholarship is paid in eight fortnightly instalments of A$250 (A$2,000 per semester) for up to six semesters of study, providing a total value of A$12,000. Recipients must be commencing full-time in their first undergraduate program with a minimum ATAR of 72 or equivalent. Selection is based on financial need and demonstrated leadership skills through academic, extra-curricular or community involvement. The scholarship is offered through funds provided by the Rotary Club of Aspley and other supporting Rotary Clubs, promoting educational opportunity in the region.
