About this opportunity
The Glenda R. Reardon Student Assistance Fund supports two Clinical Nutrition MS students annually at the University at Buffalo for professional development opportunities and relevant program resources. The award is designated for smart, strong, inspiring, kind-hearted dietetic interns with demonstrated financial need and goals to be strong leaders and preceptors in the field of dietetics. Students cannot receive this award more than once. Glenda R. Reardon was a Dietetic Intern preceptor for the University at Buffalo for many years and a registered dietitian who worked for 29 years at the Niagara County Office for the Aging. She was well-known for her compassion and love of helping senior citizens, serving as past president of multiple dietetics and aging services organizations. Glenda and her husband John had a wonderful relationship with the University at Buffalo and helped countless students begin their journey into the dietetic profession. Recipients must be majoring in the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Science in the School of Public Health and Health Professions.
