Gloria Dixon Dream & Believe Scholarship

The Gloria Dixon Dream & Believe Scholarship is awarded to students in the College of Letters & Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. This $2,000 scholarship supports full-time students at sophomore or junior standing who are pursuing majors in STEM fields including mathematical sciences, applied math and computer science, data science, data analytics, geosciences, neuroscience, physics, biological sciences, microbiology, chemistry, biochemistry, or conservation and environmental science. The scholarship prioritizes graduates of Milwaukee Public Schools, with special preference for Riverside University High School graduates. Eligible students must demonstrate either a commitment to racial equity, diversity, or social justice, or face personal circumstances that present barriers to higher education such as foster care experience, single-parent households, incarcerated parents, or responsibilities for providing financial support or care for household members. Preference is given to students with demonstrated financial need as shown on the FAFSA. Applications are typically accepted in January, with awards distributed in the spring for the following academic year.
