The Gold Medal Award recognizes the exceptional achievements of engineers who, through their work and service, have improved the lives of Canadians and others across the world. This prestigious award honors engineers who demonstrate excellence in engineering practice, teaching, or research, along with significant contributions to the profession and community. Recipients are admitted as Fellows of Engineers Canada (FEC) and are presented with their award during the annual Engineers Canada Awards Gala. The award evaluates nominees based on work-related achievements (50%), service to the profession (25%), and service to the community (25%).
