About This Opportunity

The Gold Medal in Chemistry is awarded annually to the convocating student from the Honors or Specialization programs in Chemistry who has the highest average in courses credited towards the degree. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in chemistry at the University of Alberta. The award is presented to graduating students who demonstrate exceptional performance throughout their chemistry program. To be eligible for this medal, students must be graduating from either the Honors or Specialization programs in Chemistry and must have achieved a minimum average of 3.7 (on a 4.0 scale). The medal is awarded to the student with the highest overall average in courses that count towards their chemistry degree. Students are automatically considered for this award based on their completed General Application through the University of Alberta's scholarship system.
