About this opportunity
The Gold Medal in Radiology is an annual academic award presented by University College Cork to recognize exceptional performance in radiology. The award is presented to the student who achieves the best performance in Radiology at the Final Medicine Oral Examination. Students are nominated by examiners based on their performance at clinical examinations, and must achieve Honours marks following Final Medical Clinics to be considered. Nominated students are then invited to attend a Gold Medal Oral Examination, where examiners determine the winner based on demonstrated excellence. This prestigious medal recognizes outstanding achievement in radiology among medical students at UCC. Additionally, up to three students may be nominated for entry into the national competition for the Henry Hutchinson Stewart Award in Radiology through this process.
