About This Opportunity

The Gold Medal Student Award recognizes the exceptional achievements of undergraduate engineering students who have demonstrated leadership, resiliency, and positive impact in their engineering studies and their community. The award is presented by Engineers Canada to honor students who show active and impactful participation in engineering associations, societies, clubs, and professional bodies, as well as engagement in community service and volunteerism. Recipients are evaluated on their engagement within the engineering profession and community, their engagement in their broader community, and their demonstrated resiliency in response to life challenges or adversity while maintaining successful academic performance. The award recipient is presented with their award and certificate during the annual Engineers Canada Awards Gala, held each year in conjunction with Engineers Canada's Spring Meetings and Annual Meeting of Members, typically in late May. Award recipients also participate in promotional activities arranged by Engineers Canada.
