About this opportunity
The Gordon Nicolson Memorial Scholarship in Career and Technology Studies is awarded to a full-time student with superior academic achievement enrolled in any year of the Secondary Education Route with a major in Career and Technology Studies. Selection is based on academic standing and contributions made to student life through Department and Faculty activities, with preference given to students holding a valid journeyman certificate. The scholarship is offered through the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta.
This scholarship was established through endowed funds from a gift to the university by Mrs. Hertha Nicolson, widow of the late Mr. Gordon Nicolson, to honor his legacy. Students may not receive both the Gordon Nicolson Memorial Award and the V Nelson Ayres Memorial Award in the same year. Recipients are automatically considered based on their completed General Application at the University of Alberta.
