Government Scholarships Programme Mexico COMECYT-DAAD Promotion

The Government Scholarships Programme Mexico COMECYT-DAAD Promotion provides funding for Mexican graduates to complete doctoral degrees in Germany. This program is a cooperative initiative between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and COMECYT (Consejo Mexiquense de Ciencia y Tecnología). The scholarship supports doctoral studies at German universities and, where appropriate, in conjunction with non-university research institutions. DAAD covers various costs including intensive German language courses (2 months), health and liability insurance, rent subsidies, and German language exam fees (TestDaF or DSH). COMECYT provides the monthly scholarship payments. Candidates are selected by a joint committee of Mexican and German scientists and academics. The program offers comprehensive support for up to 48 months to enable Mexican scholars to pursue advanced research and doctoral training in Germany.
