About this opportunity
The Governor General's Academic Medal is a national award administered by the Chancellery of Canadian Orders and Declarations. Since 1988, Lakeland College has been given the opportunity to award a medal annually to the student who achieves the highest academic standing in the final year of a diploma level post-secondary program with a minimum 2 year full-time duration. The medal is presented at the Convocation Ceremony on the recipient's respective campus. This prestigious award recognizes exceptional academic achievement at the collegiate level and is one of Canada's oldest academic honors.
