Grace W. Capen Academic Fund

The Grace W. Capen Academic Fund was established in 1975 by the Women's Club of the University at Buffalo. This scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate an exceptional grade point average and submit a comprehensive plan for an experiential learning activity related to their academic or career goals. The plan must outline clear outcomes to be achieved through the proposed learning experience. The scholarship amount ranges from $500 to $3,000 and is designed to support experiential learning opportunities that enhance student education beyond traditional coursework. Recipients may be asked to meet with the UB Women's Club to share their educational journey and help demonstrate the value of experiential learning activities.
