About This Opportunity

The DAAD Graduate School Scholarship Programme aims to increase the number of international doctoral candidates in structured graduate schools at German universities. This programme supports excellently-qualified doctoral candidates and young academics who have completed a Master's degree, Diplom, or in exceptional cases a Bachelor's degree by the time they begin their scholarship. The fellowship provides comprehensive support for PhD projects at structured graduate schools in Germany, including monthly stipends, insurance coverage, travel allowances, and research funds. Applicants cannot apply directly to GSSP but must first be nominated by a participating graduate school after successfully applying to that institution. The programme offers up to 4 years of funding and may include additional benefits such as rent subsidies and allowances for accompanying family members.
