About this opportunity

The Graduate Support Scheme (GSS) is a need-based financial support program offered by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for graduate students. Each year, LSE provides around £3 million in GSS funding to help both Home and Overseas students applying for diploma and taught master's programmes who do not have the necessary funds to meet all their costs of study. The scheme assesses applicants based on financial need through a means-tested process, rather than academic merit. GSS awards are intended to supplement funding already secured or expected, rather than providing a full funding package. After submitting an application for admission to LSE, applicants gain access to the Graduate Application Portal which includes a link to the LSE Graduate Financial Support online application. The value of GSS awards ranges from £5,000 to £20,000, depending on financial need. This scheme is aimed at supporting applicants who already have some amount of funding secured and need additional support to cover all their study costs. Students with greater financial need may be considered for other LSE scholarships offering higher levels of funding.
24 hours for GSS decision; other LSE awards notified by end of July
