About This Opportunity

The Graduate Women Wellington - Second Year Scholarship was established in 1999 by Graduate Women Wellington to support female students entering their second year of undergraduate study at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington who are facing continuing financial hardship. The scholarship provides financial assistance to help eligible students continue their education. Applicants must identify as female, including cis-gendered and trans-gendered students. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 (subject to funds available) and can be paid towards tuition fees or as a stipend. Recipients are selected based on their financial hardship situation and must be enrolled full-time at Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarship aims to remove financial barriers for female students in their second year of undergraduate studies. Recipients are expected to write a thank you letter to Graduate Women Wellington and may be asked to serve as Ambassadors for the University.
