About this opportunity
This Scholarship was established in 2013 to provide assistance to Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students studying the Doctor of Medicine at the University of Sydney. The scholarship provides financial support to Indigenous students who demonstrate academic merit and financial need while pursuing their medical degree. The scholarship is valued at $6,000 per annum and is tenable for up to 4 years, paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance each semester and provide an annual personal update to the donor outlining their progression in the Medical Program. The scholarship aims to support Indigenous representation in medicine by reducing financial barriers for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
