The Graeme Edwards Memorial Scholarship honors Graeme Edwards, a 37-year veteran of the Victorian Electricity Industry who tragically lost his life in 2018 at age 54 while working at Yallourn Power Station. This annual scholarship represents Graeme's long-held and firm commitment to safety, fairness, and selfless concern for his peers and family. The scholarship is valued at $7,000 and is available to domestic students commencing bachelor or honours level higher education programs at Federation University Australia's Gippsland campus. The scholarship recognizes Graeme's meticulous work ethic, his genuine love of sharing knowledge and nearly four decades of experience with his workmates, and his standing as a well-respected colleague, beloved family member, and friend to many. One scholarship is available annually for new or commencing students. Applications open on January 5, 2026 and close on March 1, 2026.
