About this opportunity
This scholarship supports returning adult students at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee who have experienced interruptions in their education. The award is intended for non-traditional students from Milwaukee County who demonstrate financial need and maintain good academic standing. Undergraduate recipients must have started a degree program, experienced an interruption of at least one semester, and are returning to complete their degree with junior standing. Graduate recipients must have had a significant gap of at least three years between their undergraduate degree and graduate enrollment. Recipients must demonstrate commitment to advancing gender equity for women and girls through research, education, and advocacy, aligning with the mission of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). The scholarship is renewable for up to an additional year.
