About this opportunity
The Greater Tindall Neighborhood Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for post-secondary education tuition and related fees for residents of Tindall Heights who meet income eligibility requirements. This scholarship is designed to support local community members pursuing higher education at accredited colleges, universities, or technical schools.
Applicants must be residents of the Tindall Heights area with a household income at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Recipients must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA and be enrolled as full-time students completing 12 or more credit hours, though part-time enrollment is permitted for students working full-time. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years, providing continued support throughout a student's educational journey.
Selection is based on financial need and academic merit. The application process requires completion of an online application and submission of one letter of recommendation from an academic dean, advisor, counselor, teacher, coach, or employer. At least one new recipient is selected annually, and prior recipients may renew their awards by maintaining eligibility criteria and completing required follow-ups.
The scholarship provides $2,000 per recipient, disbursed as $500 annually and renewable for up to four years, offering a total potential award of $2,000 over the course of a student's education. This fund is administered by the Community Foundation of Central Georgia.
