About this opportunity

The British Poultry Council (BPC) scholarship is offered to students at Harper Adams University who are interested in pursuing a career in the Poultry Industry. This competitive scholarship provides a significant financial contribution towards education along with a guaranteed placement year with a sponsoring BPC company. The scholarship is sponsored by Aviagen, Gressingham Foods, and Pilgrim's Europe. Successful recipients receive £4,500 towards their education and employment with the sponsoring BPC Company during their placement year. The scholarship includes a mandatory placement year with the sponsoring firm as a condition of the award. Subject to a review at the end of placement, there may be an opportunity for further funding in the scholar's final academic year. The awards are competitive and evaluated on merit of the submitted application, academic achievements to date, and interview. The payment is made in two equal installments, with half paid in February 2026 and the remaining balance in May 2026. Applicants may only apply for a maximum of 3 placement-based scholarships. This scholarship is exclusively available to 2nd year BSc or 1st year FdSc students studying at Harper Adams University.
