Gretchen Sue Denton Memorial Scholarship

The Gretchen Sue Denton Memorial Scholarship supports juniors majoring in Recreation Administration or Sport and Recreation Management who are planning a career in the field of Recreation. The scholarship is designed for students who demonstrate a commitment to making contributions to the Recreation field following graduation. Preference is given to recipients who show interest in Ecology. The scholarship recipient must be a Junior majoring in Recreation or Sport and Recreation Management and must declare their intent to pursue a career in Recreation following completion of college. Recipients must show promise of making a contribution to the field of Recreation during their career. Financial need is considered, but only after all other qualifications are deemed equal. This award is announced in Spring or Fall semester and is paid in the Fall semester.
