About this opportunity

The Greyson Jones Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 bursary for trans youth attending post-secondary education in Ontario. The scholarship honors Greyson Jones, who completed his Master of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology and was pursuing his doctorate, and was an advocate for mental health care, trans rights, and access to healthcare. The scholarship is open to all people identifying as transgender, non-binary, intersex, Two-Spirit, or otherwise gender non-conforming who are attending a full-time program at a college or university. Preference is given to applicants whose character reflects qualities that Greyson Jones demonstrated: tenacity, bravery, generosity, integrity, and compassion. The scholarship is offered by Fairy Godparents London & Area, an organization supporting the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
