About this opportunity
The Grow Wild Youth Grants programme offers £500 grants to young individuals aged 16-25 living in the UK to champion UK native plants and/or fungi through creative projects. Grow Wild is the national outreach programme of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, working in partnership with communities across the UK. The programme welcomes diverse project approaches including sowing, photography, video making, science, or cooking - applicants do not need to be plant or fungi experts. The grant provides funding for materials, equipment, resources, and training to develop skills, along with support from Grow Wild, online sessions, resources, and opportunities to connect with other participants. Projects can be started in May and must be completed by the end of October 2025. Since 2014, the programme has funded and supported 362 young people to run their own projects, taking positive action for biodiversity and their communities while developing leadership skills and gaining valuable experience for their CV or portfolio.
