About this opportunity

This grant program provides operational funding to authorized visitor centers for World Heritage sites in Norway. The program aims to support the operation and development of these centers so they can disseminate knowledge about World Heritage to the population and visitors, especially children and young people. The centers are also expected to contribute to local engagement and value creation. Authorized World Heritage visitor centers can apply for an annual basic grant according to regulations, and must meet authorization requirements at all times to receive funding. The basic grant should cover administration, planning, and implementation of information activities and nature and cultural environment guidance, particularly for children and young people. A minimum of 40% co-financing from other actors is required, with a portion being municipal or county funding.
